WELL DONE 15s 7s!!

Jason Brown – “Super proud of the 19 young men who represented the Wombats under 15’s this weekend at the inaugural Parkes 7’s tournament. We had two teams entered with the Red boys finishing third and the Blue team sixth, against some tough opposition. WORTHY GRAND FINALISTS!

Unfortunately the Wombat Women went down in their grand final to Cowra 22 – 7 but played really well and proved that they were worthy grand finalists. What a fantastic effort in their first year. To top it off, Marita Shoulders was named the Central West’s Kieran Duncan Perpetual Award winner for the player of the grand final. Well done Marita and well done to all the ladies, Stuie, Paulso and Ros. Enjoy your end of┬áseason celebrations!

WOMBAT WOMEN GRAND FINAL!

The Wombats’ Women’s team has made the grand final to be played against Cowra this Saturday in Orange commencing at 9.10 am at the Orange Emus ground. This is an outstanding effort, especially as it is their first year in the competition. I’m sure the ladies would appreciate all the support the Wombat supporters can muster so why not make the trip to Orange this Saturday to witness history being made. Best of luck ladies! Go Wombats!
