WOMBAT COURAGE ON DISPLAY IN DUBBO!

Despite being comprehensively defeated by Dubbo in all grades, the senior Wombats who travelled to Dubbo on Saturday deserve high praise for the guts and determination they displayed against enormous odds. JUNIORS CONTINUE TO DO WELL!

The young Wombats continue to play well with some more outstanding results over the weekend. The 17s comprehensively defeated the strong Dubbo side by 40 – 12 and the 13s Blues accounted for Wellington 67 – 0. Well done to both teams! Still waiting to hear of the results for the 15s and 13s Red.

THREE MORE WOMBATS SELECTED IN NSW COUNTRY TEAMS!

Alex Saint and Harry Lee have been selected in the  NSW Country Under 17 team and Billy Carberry in the NSW Country Under 18 team. Well done to these three outstanding footballers! Harry was also selected recently in the NSW CCC side and Billy was selected for NSW CHS. These lads are in for a busy schedule this season!

COLTS CONTINUE RUN OF VICTORIES!

The Wombat Colts continued their good form with a convincing 50 – 0 victory over the Cowra Eagles at Cowra on Saturday. Cowra are traditionally much tougher at home, making this win all the more notable. First and seconds came much closer this week despite losing both grades. 17S DISPLAYING SOME GOOD FORM!

The Wombat 17s continued on their winning way with a resounding 36 – 5 win over Forbes at Jubilee Oval on Saturday. Well done lads! Both the 13 sides came back to earth after two wins each on the trot. No doubt the absence of the Central West representatives had some effect.
